These are actual case files from the offices of Armando Zatarain Investigations, an Orange County Detective (OC PI). We have either changed or omitted last names to protect the innocent and all parties concerned. Please read on to see how we can assist you with sensitive situations and problems. Child Molestation
Armando was retained to investigate a case of child molest against a client in his 20's. He was accused of inappropriately touching three young females all in their teens. His exposure was a double digit prison sentence. All three victims belonged to the same church. All three females knew each other. One female was the younger sister of a female the client used to date. The client stopped seeing the older sister when she got married, in spite of the fact that she allegedly wanted to continue the relationship.
The client's family insisted he was innocent, the victim of a personal vendetta by his spurned lover. Armando was retained on a Friday, trial was slated to start the following Monday. Armando worked throughout the weekend, late in to the night and sometimes till the early morning hours. Attorney Randall Longwith received updates and reports as the investigation progressed.
Mr. Longwith masterfully presented impeachment testimony against the younger sister "victim" and a second victim. The testimony of these two, "victims" was discounted by the jury. The client was found guilty of a single count; an unsolicited kiss of a single victim. The client's jail/exposure was reduced dramatically.
