Armando Zatarain is a local Orange County Private Detective and a licensed Private Investigator in the State of California. Based in Newport Beach, he serves all of Southern and Northern California including--but not limited to--Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco & The Inland Empire.
Armando Zatarain began his career as a uniformed police officer. He remained so for thirteen of his twenty five years in law enforcement. He was employed by the Stanton Police Department (Orange County, California) as well as the Newport Beach Police Department (Orange County, California). Armando worked street narcotics at Stanton P.D. He worked a warrant detail at Newport Beach P.D. and developed his skills at finding people.

Following his work in uniform, Armando was employed by the California Department of Justice as a Special Agent. During the twelve years he served, Armando conducted criminal investigations of many individuals and organizations. The cases he was involved with involved hundreds or sometimes thousands of hours of surveillance, both fixed and moving.Armando worked and completed cases with the FBI, US Customs, ATF, DEA and numerous state and local agencies. His ability to both work and network with other individuals and other agencies has been his trademark. He has also performed work in an undercover capacity on many occasions and speaks Spanish fluently.
He has experience working cases involving insurance fraud and worker's compensation fraud. He knows the importance of documentation both written and video recorded, and he has testified hundreds of times in State and Federal courts. Armando is licensed to carry a concealed weapon.
Armando Zatarain is a member of the following organizations: Professional Investigators of California (PICA), California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI), Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA), Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, California Narcotic Officers' Association, (CNOA-Life Member) and the National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS)
